Ryan Fox is the winner of the 154th Open Championship and the New Zealand native takes home more than golf’s oldest prize.
In addition to the wine jug of the Champion Golfer of the Year Fox earned $3.2 million from the $17,750,000 budget. Cameron Young, who finished runner-up for the second time in five Open Championships, also goes home with a seven-figure win. The same goes for Sam Burns, who will have a second-place finish at Shinnecock and a solo third at Royal Birkdale in 2026 (good for a check for $1,181,000, for what that’s worth).
