  • IQM Quantum Computers has acquired select software and intellectual property assets from Quantistry GmbH to strengthen its full-stack quantum computing and simulation platform for industrial applications.
  • The acquisition includes Quantistry’s simulation workflow software, algorithms, ML/AI layer and key technical personnel with the aim of integrating quantum hardware into industrial simulation workflows.
  • The combined platform is intended to support the research and development of companies in industries such as automotive, aerospace, chemistry, materials science and pharmaceuticals.

Press Release – IQM Quantum Computers (Nasdaq: IQMX) (“IQM”, “IQM Quantum Computers” or the “Company”), a global leader in full-stack superconducting quantum computers, has acquired select assets of Quantistry GmbH, a Berlin-based developer of a cloud-native simulation workflow platform for the automotive, aerospace, chemical, materials and pharmaceutical industries.

Assets acquired include proprietary software applications, algorithms and intellectual property. IQM will also retain Quantistry’s core capabilities in engineering, quantum chemistry and software development, ensuring seamless continuity and rapid platform integration.

The transaction was recently completed, coinciding with IQM’s business combination with Real Asset Acquisition Corp. (RAAQ), which made IQM the first listed quantum computer company from Europe.

This transaction integrates Quantistry’s state-of-the-art application software platform, algorithm simulation libraries and easy-to-use machine learning layer with IQM’s hardware infrastructure, creating a powerful end-to-end solution designed to accelerate industrial research and development in automotive, aerospace, chemistry, materials science and pharmaceuticals.

“True commercialization of quantum computing requires more than powerful hardware. It requires a bridge between hardware, software and real industrial applications. Acquiring Quantistry’s software assets builds that bridge,” said Jan Goetz, CEO and co-founder of IQM Quantum Computers. “It accelerates our software development timeline in a capital-efficient manner and brings a technical team whose expertise will help us deliver cloud-accessible simulation value to enterprise customers. This is the type of move that will get us there faster.”

Through the acquisition, IQM is able to actively collaborate with an exceptional list of industry leaders. The company plans to transform and expand these corporate relationships under the IQM brand, offering its customers a continuum of classical simulation, AI-driven optimization and quantum acceleration – with a clear path to continually update their systems, optimize their operations and deliver innovative, cutting-edge solutions to their own customers. This is Production Quantum in practice: companies not only access a quantum computer, they own, operate and grow with it.

Dr. Marcel Quennet, co-founder and CEO of Quantistry, said: “Joining forces with IQM Quantum Computers represents a monumental next chapter for our technology and the industry. IQM’s world-class quantum and hardware infrastructure and deep institutional trust provide the ultimate starting point for scaling our simulation platform. Together, we will enable research and development teams to model complex molecular and physical properties at unprecedented speed, moving from theoretical simulation to simulation faster than ever before to transition to market-ready material innovation.”

Quantistry has established itself as an innovative force by building an intuitive cloud platform that leverages quantum mechanics, chemical simulations and high-performance computing. A key differentiator of Quantistry’s technology is its proprietary layer of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), which allows a user without extensive knowledge of quantum computing or chemical simulation to create and simulate chemical compounds with accuracy on demand.

This framework automatically determines the most efficient computing paths and seamlessly routes complex workflows across classic HPC infrastructures, native AI computing environments and quantum backends.

Quantistry’s software connects directly to IQM’s quantum computers. Industrial customers can create a proof of concept within the IQM ecosystem and then scale it as hardware improves without changing platforms or starting from scratch.
