NVIDIA Vera Rubin infrastructure and DSX platform support 2 gigawatt build
Today’s announcement builds on the decades-long technology partnership between SK Group and NVIDIA, including recently announced plans for SK Telecom to build a 2 gigawatt-scale AI cloud in Korea.
This cloud will use NVIDIA® DSX™ platform and delivering accelerated NVIDIA Vera Rubin computing with SK hynix HBM4. The first AI factory is scheduled to go into operation in 2027.
It will be built on the NVIDIA DSX full-stack AI factory architecture, which integrates NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, systems, software and partner technologies to deliver the lowest token cost with maximum energy efficiency.
The two companies aim to accelerate the development of large-scale AI infrastructure, including government, physical, agent and enterprise AI services, and jointly meet increasing AI demand across Asia Pacific, including South Korea.
Accelerating AI infrastructure at scale
The collaboration between SK Telecom and NVIDIA accelerates the adoption of NVIDIA-based AI infrastructure and expands customer access to advanced cloud services. The partnership enables SK Telecom to invest in and expand large-scale AI infrastructure while making capital-intensive AI infrastructure available to a wider range of customers.
Advancing next-generation AI storage
SK hynix is also entering into a long-term AI storage partnership with NVIDIA. As a follow-up to solidifying the existing long-term technical partnership, this agreement enables NVIDIA to ensure a stable supply of next-generation AI storage while broadening SK hynix’s foundation for growth.
The two companies will jointly develop and optimize next-generation AI storage solutions, including HBM, to meet evolving infrastructure needs ranging from training large language models to agentic AI and physical AI.
